As Owner and Head Chef of the award-winning Qamar, Hassan’s approach to food is fueled by his training in top restaurants in Paris and rooted by his love for classic Moroccan cuisine.

SOFIA KAPCHAN

Sofia is best known for her poems and essays documenting her journey through North and West Africa. She’s also a guest lecturer at Université Cadi Ayyad and edits for The Literary Review.

Khalid Zahra

Khalid is regarded as one of the most important figures helping to keep traditional Moroccan music cultures thriving today. He runs music venues and studios across Marrakech and Fez.

Asma Zayd

Featured in The New Yorker and National Geographic, Asma’s award-winning landscape photography has reached well beyond the walls of her hometown Marrakech.

MOHAMED MRABET

Born into a family with multiple generations of chefs, love and appreciation for food has been instilled in Mohamed since he was a child. He runs his own bakery in Tangier and has published several cookbooks.

JOHN ALAOUI

Jonh is a multimedia artist working with ceramics and textiles from his gallery-studio in Marrakech.
